This week we are pleased to feature student-athlete Eli Timm in our CAA student spotlight. Eli is 18 years old and will be graduating this year from Trinity Christian School in Prescott, AZ. This season he was recognized as a 2020 CAA All-State Athlete in Cross Country and Basketball. Timm is also a Warrior’s Wreath (3-Sport Athlete) and a Trinity Scholar Athlete.
More about Eli
When he is not playing basketball or running cross country, Eli can be found golfing. Golf is another sport that he enjoys, and unfortunately was brought to a halt this season due to the pandemic. However, his last cross-country season went extremely well as the Warriors placed 2nd in the state meet and basketball season was a major improvement compared to last year.
Staying at home
During this difficult time, Timm misses being active and having fun with his teammates on a daily. He has been keeping busy with some of his other hobbies such as playing video games, which allows him to stay in touch with friends.
What he has learned
Throughout his participation in sports, Eli has learned a lot but the one thing he always remembers is, “My body is capable of doing so much more than my mind thinks it can.” This word of advice from his cross country coach has helped him to push himself farther and improve his sports performance.
Congratulations for everything you have accomplished this year and for your upcoming graduation! CAA wishes you all the best on your future endeavors.
