This week, CAA is extremely excited to highlight JV & Varsity Volleyball Head Coach, Peter Dudek from Madison Highland Prep. MHP features a rigorous academic program with an emphasis on 21st-century preparation defined by critical thinking and inquiry learning. Their athletics department is proud to offer football, volleyball, basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, cheer, tennis, cross country, and track.

Get To Know Coach Dudek
Which sports do you coach and how long have you been coaching?
I coach JV and Varsity Girls and Boys Volleyball and I am in my 4th year coaching.
Which athlete inspired you growing up?
I grew up in Chicago during the 90’s so Michael Jordan was a huge influence. Also former Olympian and current US Women’s National Team Coach Karch Kiraly.
What are you looking forward to this season?
I’m looking forward to developing and growing the girls moving up from JV. With only four returning players it’s going to be a season of growth and adjustments.
How do you see your team performing this season?
We’re excited to be moving up to Division II. I see us being a competitive team that’ll really make other teams work to beat us.
What growth do you expect from the team this year?
I expect my new players to adapt quickly to the speed of Varsity Volleyball. It’s sink or swim moving up to Varsity in addition to going Division II. They are hungry to prove themselves after winning the JV State Championship last year. I also expect my seniors to groom the players who will be replacing them next year.
What’s the best piece of advice you can give your athletes?
Enjoy every moment. A win is a win but a loss is a learning opportunity.
